We’ve all seen dozens of “making-of” documentaries about troubled film productions and the visionary filmmakers determined to hold them together — but none quite like this one, which chronicles the efforts of 12-year-old Austinite Emily Hagins to make a zombie film. Directors Justin Johnson, Erik Mauck and Aaron Marshall manage to keep the tone playful but never mocking; and they introduce a charming group of supporting figures, including one very exasperated mother trying to support her daughter’s dream.
