At 5:00 PM October 24th, Waterville NY will become infected with the living dead. Our festering corpses shall spill forth into the streets of Waterville beginning at the registration point and then head North on Main street, crossing over a couple streets, then heading North again on Stafford Avenue until we reach East Bacon Street. Here we will cross over to West Bacon and then proceed South down Stafford Ave. back the way we came all the way down Main Street until we reach our final location at Stinkers for the After Party.
If you like please feel free to bring your make up with you and help others that may be less prepared than you.
SPREAD THE DEAD!

The Path of the infection.

Well we’ve got a new starting location and probably a better one than we orginally had anyway. We will be starting Registration and Food collection in the parking lot behind the Waterville Family Medical Center, across the street from Stinkers Tavern. Located at 117 W Main Street in Waterville.
We will still be starting Registration at 4 with the walk beginning at 5 PM on October 24th. Check our map below… FYI: West Main Street is Rt 12.

Well we should have known it was to good to be true. So far this entire event has come flowing together nicely but today we encountered our first bump in the road. More like a ditch than a bump actually. But we’re going to lumber past it anyway with a shuffle and drag. Continue Reading

How do you join? Easy, just start printing and hanging the flyers. Don’t have a printer, tell everyone you know about the walk. Being part of the Street Team is all about spreading the word

Well boys and ghouls (is that to cliche? oh well) another day closer to the walk and I’ve got great news. We’ve obtained two more awesome features for the Walk. But I think they both deserve their own entry. So for our first bit of news; lets talk about this the after party. As we all know, the walk will begin at the Memorial Park Elementary school and end at Stinkers Tavern, where we will all have the opportunity to have some drinks and good times, but really what does every party need?
Music!
And thats what we’ve got. Beginning at 7:00, shortly after the walk concludes the floor will be “alive” with The Ward. There’s nothing like a bunch of dead folk flailing around to some great music!

Slowly the impending day approaches. Lurching forward and still soo much to do. When you’re so excited about something it’s hard to hold back the details from other people that are excited with you. Finally today I was able to meet with the Waterville Village Board and discuss the walk with them. It was a little akward, truth be told. A panel of people; who with a single vote could destroy the walk that we’ve put so much work into thus far. Continue Reading

It is with great pleasure, and humble thanks that I present to you all the logo for our walk. I scoured the intenet for zombie artwork, waiting until something really caught my eye, after hours of searching between myself and Mrs Survivor we’ve finally located the piece that we decided to use for our first annual zombie walk. I contacted the artist immediately and told them of our event and graciously donated the work to our cause. So we’d like to give many many thanks to O’Ryan Rudis for his donation of this fantastic work.
So withouth further adieu a peak at the new logo for our flyers and signs. Continue Reading

Unfortunate news for the Walk today. I was contacted by the Red Cross representative whom I have been dealing with regarding the Blood Drive for our event and unforunately they simply do not have enough personnel available to assist on the day we rise. However she did inform me that her Regional manager wants to speak with me regarding the event. Not sure what he cuold possibly want to talk about, but I’ll talk about the Zombie Walk all day to anyone that has an interest. So while it is unfortunate for the walk there is now no need to bleed.
I know a lot of people were looking forward to the Blood Drive, so I will make sure we secure their involvement for next year.
This is going to be a fun event, so go infect your friends and get them to join the walk!

So today I took some time to do up some fliers for the upcoming walk. Even though I think I’m the only one that knows about it aside from my wife. I guess it doesn’t matter yet, and I thought I had better get some fliers set up in case people wanted to help.
Unfortunately for us, I was unable to secure the rights to the photos I wanted to use. However, I have found a fantastic logo which the Artist was gracious enough to donate, as well as several other images which we will be using to create new fliers, pamphlets and posters. The new promotional material should be available in PDF format for download within the next couple of days.
