For those of you who may not have seen the headlines regarding the University of Florida’s Emergency plans I thought I’d give you the info.
Aside from taking Hurricanes, Floods and other such common disasters into account in their Emergency plan; it seems UF had also taken a Zombie outbreak into account and had made provisions therein on how to survive and what to do if such an event was to occur on campus. Unfortunately for us, this portion of the plan has since been removed from their site and is no longer available to read. To bad, I would have liked to have read that one.
So check out the full article from NBC HERE

Swine flu? Zombie Plague? Are they comparable? Well, apparently loan Grillo on Telegraph.co.uk thinks so!
Read it here
I have to admit, after reviewing the pictures from various locations, reading the stories and taking into consideration how various countries are handling it; it seems very similar to how a zombie plague would be handled. In anycase, its extremely scary stuff.

Sakichi Sato’s Tokyo Zombie makes its way to DVD.
This Japanese zombie comedy features two wannabe ju-jitsu champions who dispose of a body at a toxic waste dump. Unfortunately for them, other people have done likewise, and the undead are eager to escape the sludge and wreak havoc on the city. Five years later, Japan is beset by class wars were the rich and powerful have enslaved the poor, including our bungling martial artists, who are forced to battle the zombies for sport, gladiator style.
Part black comedy, social commentary, and sheer lunacy, this movie was written by director Sato (Ichi the Killer). It features limited gore – it’s a little light on the zombies – but lots of plot and slapstick, and is sure to please zombie fans that also enjoy quirky Asian cinema and the odd buddy movie.
It’s based on a Japanese magna comic strip of the same name.

DFW.com:
We’ve all seen dozens of “making-of” documentaries about troubled film productions and the visionary filmmakers determined to hold them together — but none quite like this one, which chronicles the efforts of 12-year-old Austinite Emily Hagins to make a zombie film. Directors Justin Johnson, Erik Mauck and Aaron Marshall manage to keep the tone playful but never mocking; and they introduce a charming group of supporting figures, including one very exasperated mother trying to support her daughter’s dream.
